AccountTECH Acquires Shaker.io to Enhance Real Estate Transaction Management

AccountTECH, a web-based accounting solution tailored for the real estate sector, has announced the acquisition of Shaker.io, a transaction management platform designed to streamline communication and enhance transparency in real estate transactions.

Shaker.io offers technology that allows real estate brokerages to effectively demonstrate their value to agents, sellers, and buyers. The platform automates personalized SMS messages and emails, ensuring that all parties are informed throughout every stage of the transaction. The solution also includes a mobile app and website that provide real-time updates, increasing engagement and transparency for all involved.

According to Mark Blagden, CEO and founder of AccountTECH, Shaker.io offers an easy-to-use application that goes beyond compliance and communication. “While Shaker appears to most users as a simple app, it provides the functionality of a robust project management tool,” he explained. “We are already leveraging its capabilities to create workflows for agent onboarding and marketing design.”

The acquisition aligns with AccountTECH’s strategy to help real estate clients improve their service delivery. It also allows the company to experiment with new methods of integration between different software systems, enhancing data-sharing and reducing inefficiencies associated with traditional API technology.

Shaker.io CEO Chris Lucas highlighted that the merger would allow the platform to expand its reach beyond its initial market of real estate teams to larger brokerages. “This partnership opens the door to serve multi-company enterprises, a space where AccountTECH has a strong presence,” Lucas noted.

While the financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, both companies will continue to operate independently while working towards a full integration of their software platforms by the end of 2024.
