Ares Management Appoints Julie Solomon as Co-Head of Real Estate Alongside Bill Benjamin

Ares Management Corporation (Ares) has announced the promotion of Julie Solomon, the Global Chief Operating Officer of Ares Real Estate, to Co-Head of Real Estate alongside Bill Benjamin, the current Head of Real Estate. This appointment is effective immediately, signifying a collaborative leadership approach to steer the Ares Real Estate business on a global scale.

Julie Solomon, who joined Ares in 2013, has played a pivotal role within the Real Estate team, contributing significantly to its organic and inorganic growth. Her elevation underscores her leadership and strategic contributions to the organization.

As the Global Chief Operating Officer of Ares Real Estate, Solomon has spearheaded the growth and integration of the team’s portfolio management function, facilitated the expansion of its data and analytics infrastructure, and actively engaged in fundraising endeavors. Notably, Solomon is esteemed within the real estate industry, serving on the Advisory Board of NYPEN Real Estate and holding memberships in prestigious associations such as the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate.
