BamCore, a company specializing in bamboo-based building materials, has completed a $13.9 million venture round. Founded by William McDonald in 2008, BamCore focuses on sustainable structural framing systems for low-rise commercial and residential construction. This funding round brings the company’s total to $142.2 million across ten rounds.
BamCore’s structural framing system is designed to integrate with various architectural styles while reducing construction time, job site waste, and reliance on specialized labor. The company’s Load Optimized Biogenic Industrialized Construction (LOBIC) technology uses fast-growing plants to create high-performance, eco-friendly building materials. The Prime Wallâ„¢ system is a key example of BamCore’s commitment to stronger, faster, and greener construction solutions.
Headquartered in San Francisco, BamCore is dedicated to decarbonizing the built environment through sustainable building practices. The new funding will support the company’s ongoing innovation and expansion of its eco-friendly product offerings within the building materials industry.
