CBRE Appoints David Maguire as Head of Occupier Sustainability in Continental Europe

Global real estate advisory firm CBRE has announced the appointment of David Maguire as the Head of Occupier Sustainability & ESG for Continental Europe. Maguire, an experienced sustainability leader, will lead CBRE’s sustainability services for occupier clients in the region, focusing on expanding the company’s offerings to address the evolving sustainability and ESG needs of corporate real estate.

Having previously served in the Occupier ESG team in the UK, supporting clients such as Marks & Spencer, GSK, and Maersk, Maguire will now join the Continental Europe Sustainability and ESG team under the leadership of Ludovic Chambe. He will collaborate closely with Einar Schiefloe, Head of Occupier Services, Continental Europe & Nordics, and a team of 270 sustainability and ESG experts across 22 European countries, driving the implementation of transformative sustainability solutions.

Maguire, commenting on his new role, emphasized the opportunity to collaborate with the global occupier community and expand sustainability offerings in the ambitious European context, leveraging the skills and expertise of in-country teams.

Maguire, a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist, brings extensive experience in supporting corporate occupiers on various ESG topics, including strategy and governance, data and reporting, decarbonization, net zero, circularity, health and wellbeing, and social value. His previous roles include leading Foster + Partners’ corporate ESG strategy and sustainable design on prestigious projects.
