Rendin, a Tallinn-based startup specializing in home rental solutions, has recently secured close to €2 million in funding, spearheaded by Tera Ventures. This investment marks a significant milestone for the company as it gears up for its A-round fundraising and expansion into both existing and new markets commencing in April.
Founded in 2019 by Alain Aun and Maiko Saluorg, Rendin operates as a platform that facilitates seamless connections between landlords and tenants while prioritizing safety and convenience. Leveraging technology, insurance, real estate agency expertise, and legal support, Rendin aims to streamline the rental process, saving time and resources for all parties involved. Presently, the team comprises 20 professionals, actively serving clients in the Estonian and Polish markets.
Having amassed a total investment of €4.2 million since late 2020, Rendin has garnered support from various entities, including Iron Wolf Capital, Truesight Ventures, Zaka VC, and numerous angel investors. The platform witnesses the signing of up to 600 rental contracts monthly, reflecting its growing prominence in the industry.
“Involving customers in the investment is the only right choice. Landlords who use us have always asked how they can be a part of our success story. Thanks to Startup Wise Guys, we found such an opportunity, and landlords are still welcome to join during March if they wish,” stated Alain Aun, CEO and Co-Founder of Rendin.
Tera Ventures, a venture capital firm with bases in Tallinn, Helsinki, and LA, emerged as the lead investor in this funding round. Notably, nearly a hundred Rendin landlords also participated in the investment through the Startup Wise Guys fund.
Empowered by this fresh injection of capital, Rendin sets its sights on establishing itself as a pan-European platform for secure renting. Additionally, the company is poised to seek further investments in the near future to fuel its expansion into additional markets and consolidate its market presence in Estonia and Poland.
