Muinzer, a prominent real estate investment firm specializing in student housing, has announced the acquisition of Grant Street Station and South Street Station, located near Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. This purchase was made in collaboration with an affiliate of Walton Street Capital, L.L.C. Together, these properties offer 362 student housing beds and are 99% pre-leased for the upcoming August 2024 school year. The transaction was facilitated by Randall Calvert of TSB Realty.
This acquisition brings Muinzer’s total student housing investments to over $250 million in the past year. Marc Muinzer, Founder and CEO, emphasized the firm’s commitment to acquiring student housing in key university markets. He expressed pride in the Muinzer team’s efforts in securing another property near Purdue University, his alma mater. Mr. Muinzer highlighted the firm’s strong capital access and experienced management team as crucial factors in their continued growth.
Since beginning its student housing investments in 2002, Muinzer has become one of the largest owners and operators in the Big Ten and SEC Conferences. Michael Snyder, COO of Muinzer, reiterated the firm’s long-term confidence in the student housing market and their goal to acquire an additional $2 billion in properties near high-growth universities.
