Cascade, an AI-powered platform for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, has raised $3.5 million in seed funding. The round was backed by Andreessen Horowitz Speedrun, Ada Ventures, and Snowball VC.
The company is building software that helps construction businesses discover potential projects earlier and identify developers that are most likely to secure upcoming contracts.
Construction companies often spend significant time searching multiple government and private procurement portals for new projects. The process can be fragmented because opportunities are spread across state, city, county, federal, and private platforms.
Cascade aims to simplify this workflow.
After a company joins the platform, Cascade analyzes its capabilities and matches it with projects that fit its expertise. At the same time, the platform tracks public announcements, grants, procurement activity, and historical tender data to predict where future opportunities may emerge.
For example, if a state announces funding for affordable housing, Cascade reviews previous grant cycles and identifies developers that have historically secured similar contracts. The platform then recommends those developers as potential business targets.
Instead of only listing available tenders, Cascade focuses on helping firms connect with developers before projects reach later procurement stages.
The company's AI combines data from multiple sources to estimate which developers are most likely to win newly announced projects. This allows contractors, suppliers, and engineering firms to begin building relationships earlier in the project lifecycle.
As more customers use the platform, Cascade collects feedback on successful bids. The company says this information helps improve its prediction models over time.
According to the founders, participation in Andreessen Horowitz's Speedrun program helped the company refine its product and expand its customer base.
Cascade says it now works with construction firms involved in major infrastructure, hospitality, and data center projects across the United States.
The newly raised capital will support product development, engineering hires, and go-to-market initiatives. The company also plans to expand industry outreach through events and customer engagement programs.
By combining procurement data with AI-driven predictions, Cascade aims to help construction firms spend less time searching for projects and more time pursuing qualified opportunities.
