Vancouver, Washington-based homebuilding technology startup Digs has raised $25.3 million in Series A funding led by Builders FirstSource, one of the largest suppliers of building materials and prefabricated components for residential construction.

The funding comes alongside a five-year strategic partnership under which Builders FirstSource will integrate Digs’ AI platform into its digital ecosystem, expanding access to the technology for its network of approximately 140,000 builder clients.

Founded in 2022 by Ryan Fink and Ty Frackiewicz, Digs is building AI software designed to simplify residential construction workflows and create a persistent digital record of a home throughout its lifecycle.

The company’s platform supports processes ranging from pre-construction estimates and blueprint collaboration to post-move-in home maintenance and warranty management. By bringing construction information, property records, materials and warranty details into a single AI-powered platform, Digs aims to replace fragmented paperwork and static documents with a connected digital experience.

Building a Digital Twin for Every Home

Digs describes its platform as a “CarFax for the home,” giving builders and homeowners access to an organized history of a property rather than relying on paper records, PDFs and disconnected documentation.

The company’s longer-term vision is to create a scalable digital twin of the home that continues to provide value after construction is complete. The platform can track information about a property, including its materials, construction history and warranty details, helping builders and homeowners maintain visibility throughout the home’s lifecycle.

Digs currently operates on a software-as-a-service model and has thousands of homes on its platform across all 50 U.S. states.

Strategic Partnership with Builders FirstSource

The new investment is accompanied by a major commercial partnership with Builders FirstSource. Under the five-year agreement, Builders FirstSource will integrate Digs’ AI technology into its digital ecosystem and make the platform available across its large network of builder customers.

Builders FirstSource operates approximately 565 locations across 43 states and serves professional homebuilders in 91 of the top 100 U.S. metropolitan markets.

The partnership gives Digs access to a significant distribution network while giving Builders FirstSource an AI-powered platform aimed at improving workflows and the homeowner experience across the construction lifecycle.

Builders FirstSource President and CEO Peter Jackson said the company is focused on combining its scale, customer relationships, product data and digital ecosystem with Digs’ AI platform to simplify workflows and improve productivity.

Founders With Construction and Technology Experience

Digs was founded by Ryan Fink and Ty Frackiewicz, who had previously worked together on augmented reality startup ONtheGo Platforms, which was acquired in 2015.

Fink later founded home-service AR startup Streem, which was acquired by Frontdoor in 2019. Frackiewicz brings experience in construction engineering and luxury homebuilding.

Their combined experience across technology, augmented reality and construction helped shape Digs’ approach to digitizing the residential building process.

Funding and Growth Plans

The Series A brings Digs’ total funding to more than $47 million. The company previously raised a $5 million pre-Series A round in late 2025, with earlier backing from investors including Fuse, Flying Fish, Oregon Venture Fund and Cascade Seed Fund.

Digs currently has 37 employees and plans to expand its workforce to more than 60 by the end of 2026. Most of the new hires are expected to join the engineering, design and product teams, with additional hiring planned across sales and marketing.

The latest funding will support the company’s continued product development and expansion as it works with Builders FirstSource and grows its presence across the U.S. residential construction market.

Digs’ partnership with one of the largest building-products companies in the U.S. marks a significant step toward its goal of making digital home records and AI-powered construction workflows a standard part of the residential building lifecycle.
