Doorvest, a real estate investment platform focused on helping individuals buy, manage, and sell rental properties, has acquired Wreno, a vendor management and project automation company built for large-scale property operations. The deal signals Doorvest’s move toward deeper operational integration and expanded property management capabilities.

Strengthening Operational Capabilities

Wreno’s platform uses AI to improve vendor coordination and streamline renovation and repair workflows. Doorvest plans to integrate this technology into its own operations to improve cost control, standardize processes, and provide a more reliable experience for residents and investors.

According to Charlotte Schell, CEO and co-founder of Wreno, the platform was created to address challenges in managing multiple vendors and project timelines across large property portfolios. By joining Doorvest, Wreno’s tools will now support a broader base of property owners and investors.

Supporting Property Management Growth

Doorvest also aims to accelerate its strategy of acquiring local property management companies (PMCs). The addition of Wreno’s platform will allow the company to centralize data and manage its growing portfolio more efficiently.

This integration is intended to scale Doorvest’s services while maintaining a consistent experience across all properties. Investors may benefit from more available inventory, increased liquidity, and improved servicing of their properties throughout the ownership cycle.

Operational Improvements and National Expansion

Doorvest co-founder and CEO Andrew Luong said the acquisition supports the company’s long-term strategy of building a comprehensive real estate investment ecosystem. With over 30% of customers making repeat purchases and more than 60% using its lending products, Doorvest continues to deepen its presence in the sector.

Luong added that the role of AI in real estate is expanding, enabling better investor outcomes, faster service for residents, and operational support for internal teams.

What This Means for Stakeholders

For local PMCs acquired by Doorvest, the deal provides access to a broader technology infrastructure. This includes centralized oversight, faster vendor coordination, and performance tracking.

Residents may experience quicker repairs and improved communication. For investors, the acquisition is expected to enhance property performance, offer better access to inventory, and create more seamless servicing throughout the investment lifecycle.

In the coming months, the combined team plans to introduce updated tools for project tracking, vendor management, and property acquisition, beginning in core markets with plans for national rollout.
