Stuttgart-based proptech startup dotega has secured €1.3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), joined by several experienced proptech investors, including the founders of Casavi.

Germany has around 10 million residential and commercial units organized as homeowners’ associations (WEGs), a market that continues to lag in digital adoption. Dotega aims to modernize this space with a scalable digital platform that enables complete, legally compliant self-management of smaller owners’ associations.

The company’s web-based platform integrates essential management functions such as automated annual statements, compliant draft resolutions, transparent financial planning, and digital meetings for property owners. Designed for simplicity and independence from traditional property managers, the platform is built around three principles: legal compliance, ease of use, and autonomy.

Beyond administrative features, dotega also provides practical guidance for property renovation, value preservation, and energy-efficiency improvements, helping communities manage both daily operations and long-term planning.

According to Niklas Mocker, co-founder and managing director of dotega, “this funding serves as a clear validation of the company’s approach, demonstrating both the relevance of its solution to a real market need and the confidence it has earned from leading investors.”

He added, “With the support of HTGF and experienced proptech investors, we can accelerate growth, scale our product, and establish self-management as a real alternative to traditional property management.”

The new capital will be used to advance the digital transformation of self-managed homeowners’ associations in Germany and to further enhance dotega’s platform for efficient, compliant, and transparent property self-management.
