Earth Fund, a venture capital platform focused on the built environment and sustainability, has made its first investment of ₹20 crore in Truboard Partners. The investment reflects the fund’s strategy of supporting technology-led infrastructure that improves transparency and decision-making across real estate and clean energy assets.
The funding marks Earth Fund’s initial capital deployment since launch. It also signals growing investor interest in platforms that address post-investment asset monitoring, an area that has remained fragmented across India’s real asset ecosystem.
Founded by professionals with backgrounds in real assets, technology, and institutional finance, Truboard Partners has developed an AI-driven platform designed to offer a consolidated view of asset performance. The platform enables lenders, equity investors, developers, and asset owners to track portfolios with greater visibility and operational control.
Currently, Truboard’s platform is used across Indian real estate and energy portfolios. In addition, the company has expanded its footprint into the US and European markets, reflecting demand for standardized asset intelligence across geographies.
Vipul Thakore, Founder & CEO of Truboard Partners, said:
“Earth Fund’s investment reflects a shared view that managing asset performance across real assets requires technology designed for the operational realities of these sectors. This partnership enables us to strengthen our product foundation and scale responsibly across asset classes.”
According to Earth Fund, the decision to invest was driven by Truboard’s institutional adoption, experienced founding team, and demonstrated return on investment for users.
Nirupa Shankar, Managing Partner, Earth Fund, noted:
“Truboard fills a critical gap in India’s real asset ecosystem by bringing structure and transparency to post-investment asset monitoring. By turning fragmented data into actionable insights, the platform compresses lender visibility from months to days and enables asset owners to generate 2–3% higher returns.”
Abhijeet Pai, Managing Partner, Earth Fund, added:
“What attracted us to Truboard was the same pattern we see in category-defining companies—blue-chip clients, measurable ROI delivery, and product sophistication that creates switching costs.”
Truboard Partners works with institutional investors and developers across debt and equity structures. Its platform provides real-time insights into asset performance, helping stakeholders manage risk, improve operational efficiency, and enhance internal rates of return.
By integrating data from multiple sources, the platform reduces reliance on manual reporting. As a result, decision-makers gain faster and more reliable visibility into portfolio health.
This investment represents the first deployment from Earth Fund, which is backed by institutional investors including HDFC Capital Advisors Limited and listed developers such as Nila Spaces. The fund is sponsored by Brigade Enterprises Ltd. and Gruhas, both of which have committed more than 50% of the fund’s capital.
Earth Fund’s investment thesis focuses on companies that combine sustainability, technology, and measurable performance outcomes within India’s built environment.
