Paris-based startup Freeda has secured €3.4 million in funding to strengthen its AI-driven platform that identifies hidden errors in construction plans.
The round was led by Frst, with participation from Brick & Mortar Ventures. The company, part of Station F’s Future 40 cohort, plans to use the capital to grow its architecture and engineering teams in France. The goal is to train Freeda’s AI to interpret plans with greater precision, scale plan review processes, and tailor its solution to the standards and practices of different markets.
Founded in late 2024 by Peter Starr (CEO), Augustin Perraud (COO, ex-Xange and ScorePlay), Charles Desbaux (CTO, ex-Darktrace), and Mariano Rodriguez (CSO, ex-Gladia), Freeda merges artificial intelligence with human expertise — including architects, engineers, and safety specialists — to cut plan review time drastically.
According to the company, Freeda can detect errors in 48 hours, compared to more than 100 hours of manual verification per project. This significantly reduces delays and improves cost management while allowing design teams to focus on creativity rather than repetitive checks.
In 2025, Freeda worked with over 10 clients and reviewed 10,000 plans. The company targets 1 million plan analyses by 2026, expanding across Europe, the UK, the US, and the Middle East. Currently employing nine people in Paris, Freeda expects to grow its team to twelve by the end of 2025.
