Heave, a Tampa-based startup that connects construction companies with on-demand heavy equipment mechanics, has raised $7 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by Outsiders Fund, with participation from existing investors FJ Labs, Long Journey Ventures, and Slow Ventures.
According to the company, the capital will support market expansion, customer acquisition, and team development.
Founded and led by CEO Alex Kraft, Heave offers a platform designed to match construction firms with qualified mechanics for on-site machinery servicing. The service is positioned as a faster and more accessible alternative to traditional repair channels.
Currently active in Florida and Texas, Heave is now entering new markets such as Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville, which are seeing high levels of construction activity.
With this round, the company’s total funding has reached $13 million.
