Invesco Real Estate closed $3.2 billion in global loan commitments during the first half of 2026, more than double its origination volume from the same period last year.
The real estate investment platform of Invesco Ltd. recorded a 112% year-over-year increase in loan originations during H1 2026. The commitments covered 33 floating-rate senior loans across North America and Europe.
Multifamily and industrial properties accounted for 93% of Invesco Real Estate’s loan commitments during the first half of the year.
The platform also reported higher lending activity in Europe during the period. Borrowers have increasingly sought financing with greater execution certainty and flexible terms, according to Invesco Real Estate.
Charlie Rose, Global Head of Credit at Invesco Real Estate, said loan demand remained strong among the platform’s relationship borrowers.
The increase comes as the commercial real estate market enters the early stages of a five-year period in which about $3 trillion in loans are expected to mature.
Invesco Real Estate has operated its global credit business since 2011. Since then, the platform has originated about $29.8 billion across 394 transactions in North America and Europe.
During H1 2026, the company also completed two managed commercial real estate collateralized loan obligations (CRE CLOs). The transactions, INCREF 2026-FL2 and INCREF 2026-FL3, added to the platform’s funding sources.
The transactions are expected to support Invesco Real Estate’s ability to provide commercial real estate financing across different market conditions.
Several transactions contributed to Invesco Real Estate’s lending activity during the first half of 2026.
Invesco Real Estate manages $86.3 billion in real estate assets, according to figures as of December 31, 2025.
The platform has 596 employees and 21 regional offices across the U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific. It has more than four decades of experience in real estate investment management.
The business operates across equity and debt markets. Its investment activity spans strategies from core to opportunistic and includes both listed and direct real estate investments.
Invesco Real Estate is part of Invesco Private Markets and operates as a business name of Invesco Advisers, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Invesco Ltd.
