Mumbai-based Lighthouse PropTech has raised $1 million (₹8.6 crore) in funding, aiming to simplify and secure high-value real estate transactions for high-net-worth buyers.
The startup, founded in 2023 by Sumesh Mishra and Murtuza Wapiwala, is building a technology-led platform designed for HNIs, UHNIs, and NRI clients. Its focus is on reducing paperwork, increasing transparency, and ensuring faster deal closures in the luxury property segment.
The investment is part of a $2.5 million round led by Turbostart, with participation from Dawar Family House and other investors. This funding values Lighthouse at $3.5 million.
High-end property deals often involve multiple intermediaries, extended timelines, and complex compliance processes. Lighthouse aims to address these issues through:
Digital-first transactions that limit paperwork and reduce dependency on middlemen.
Secure transaction handling to meet compliance requirements.
Property management tools for domestic and overseas owners.
Tailored solutions for luxury property buyers.
The funding comes at a time when India’s PropTech sector is expanding. Startups such as HBits, Flint, and Jusco are gaining traction, while established firms are launching investment funds. Recently, Gruhas and Brigade Group announced a ₹300 crore Earth Fund to support PropTech ventures.
Industry forecasts suggest India’s PropTech market could reach $4.7 billion by 2029, with the overall real estate market projected at $1 trillion by 2030. Lighthouse’s strategy targets a niche but lucrative segment within this growth trajectory.
The deal was featured in RealtyNXT’s PropTech 100, a weekly series hosted by Kritika Singh Rawat, which highlights innovations shaping the real estate industry. The show, presented primarily in Hindi, aims to make PropTech insights accessible to a broader audience across India.
With its blend of technology, compliance expertise, and luxury-focused services, Lighthouse is positioning itself as a trusted partner for premium property transactions in India and beyond.
