Milan-based proptech startup Piece has secured €1.65 million (around $1.85 million) in the first close of its pre-Series A funding round. Existing investor UTEC led the round, while Mori Building Innovation Fund, University of Tokyo Founders Fund, Star Mica Holdings, and 15 angel investors also participated.
The latest investment brings Piece's total funding to €4.38 million (around $5 million). The company plans to complete a second close as part of the ongoing round.
Founded in May 2023, Piece operates a digital platform that enables users to invest in European real estate through fractional ownership. The platform uses security tokens designed to comply with the European Union's MiFID II regulatory framework.
As a result, investors can purchase smaller ownership stakes in real estate assets instead of acquiring entire properties.
Since relaunching its platform in November 2025, Piece has attracted more than 3,000 registered users from 35 countries.
The company said it will use the newly raised capital to expand its operations, improve its platform, grow its real estate portfolio, and strengthen its marketing activities in Italy and Germany.
