Stockport-based Proptech startup Property Sense has secured £1 million in a Series A round to support its nationwide expansion. The company is extending the round to £2 million following oversubscription and growing interest from early-stage investors.
Founded in 2022 by Mike Haywood, Property Sense provides a self-serve platform for Build-to-Rent (BTR) developers, operators, letting agents, and residents. The technology helps accelerate lease-ups, improve communication, and simplify operations through integration with CRM and property management systems.
The company also aims to extend its offering beyond BTR to cover Co-Living, Single Family Homes (SFH), and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA). By doing so, it seeks to give developers and operators better tools to manage occupancy across different residential asset classes.
Since its launch, Property Sense has expanded operations from the North West and Yorkshire into the Midlands, South East, Wales, and Scotland. The platform has already supported lease-ups for hundreds of residential units across multiple developments.
The funding round attracted early-stage venture capital firms, high-net-worth individuals, and public investors through crowdfunding platforms. Proceeds will be used to enhance the platform, deepen CRM and PMS integrations, and scale its presence across the UK rental market.
“It’s incredible to see how far the business has come in such a short space of time. We took a bold step early on by pivoting into a highly specialist PropTech space, but we knew our technology had the potential to completely revolutionise the way lettings work in the UK, particularly during the critical lease-up and construction phases of developments," claims Mike Haywood, CEO of Property Sense.
