Manchester-based PropTech company Street Group has secured a strategic growth investment from Hg, a software and services investor focused on European and transatlantic businesses.
The investment values Street Group at more than £200 million (approximately €233.8 million). Before this round, the company was backed by Manchester-based venture capital firm PXN Group, which invests in high-growth businesses across Northern England.
Founded in 2015 by siblings Tom Staff and Heather Staff, Street Group develops software for estate and letting agents across the UK. The company says the new investment will support product development, strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities, and expand its technology team.
Tom Staff and Heather Staff, Co-CEOs and co-founders of Street Group, said the company was created to improve how estate and letting agents manage their daily operations. They added that Hg's experience in scaling software and AI businesses aligns with Street Group's long-term plans. According to the founders, the partnership will help the company invest further in its products, technology, and workforce while maintaining its customer-focused approach.
Street Group offers an integrated operating system designed for residential property professionals. Its portfolio includes Street.co.uk, a CRM platform for estate and letting agents, Spectre, a lead generation platform, and Cortex, an AI platform that enables customers to build and manage AI agents.
Today, the company employs more than 200 people and serves thousands of estate and letting agency branches across the UK.
Tom Staff and Heather Staff will remain majority shareholders and continue leading the business following the investment.
Louis Kinsella, Partner at Hg, said Street Group has established a strong position in the property software market through its technology and customer-focused products. He added that the company is well placed to benefit from the industry's shift towards modern software platforms, and Hg plans to support its next phase of growth.
Hg manages more than $110 billion in assets and employs over 400 people across Europe and North America. Its investment portfolio includes around 60 software and services businesses with a combined enterprise value of more than $190 billion.
