Zoopla has acquired Newhomesforsale.co.uk, a UK-based platform focused exclusively on new-build properties. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Zoopla’s position in the new homes segment.

The acquired platform will continue to operate as a standalone brand. Its existing leadership team will remain in place. At the same time, the business will gain access to Zoopla’s audience data and ongoing product investments.

Established presence in a growing segment

Founded in 1998, Newhomesforsale.co.uk works with more than 200 developer customers. These include nine of the UK’s top ten national housebuilders. The platform currently supports around 2,500 active developments across the country.

In addition, the site connects over one million buyers with new homes each year. It also generates approximately 170,000 qualified leads annually for developers.

According to Zoopla, the UK new homes market remains sizeable. More than 180,000 homes are delivered each year. At the same time, developers are increasingly using digital marketing channels to track performance and measure returns.

Recent momentum in new homes business

The acquisition follows recent growth in Zoopla’s new homes division. This includes partnerships with major developers such as Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes. Zoopla says recent product improvements have contributed to a 53% year-on-year increase in new homes lead volumes.

Paul Whitehead said the deal aligns with the company’s long-term strategy.

Whitehead says:

“We’re delighted to welcome the team at newhomesforsale.co.uk to Zoopla. They have built a respected and highly specialised business that consistently delivers high-intent leads, strong conversion rates and strong ROI for home builders.

“This acquisition is a natural next step in our strategy. Our recent partnerships with Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon demonstrate the progress we have made and the value we deliver.”

He added that Zoopla has been investing in tools for the new homes sector. These include improved search functionality, affordability tools, and AI-driven campaign optimisation. The aim is to help developers reach higher-intent buyers and strengthen sales pipelines.

Focus on developer outcomes

Mark Hincks, Director of Newhomesforsale.co.uk, said the partnership would expand the platform’s capabilities.

Hincks says:

“Our focus has always been to connect developers with high-intent buyers and deliver a clear return on marketing investment. Joining Zoopla unlocks audience data, insights and innovation that will allow us to deliver even more value for our customers.

“Together, we can accelerate growth and support home builders with stronger sales pipelines and better commercial outcomes.”
